Hobnobben. It's more than a film festival. It's a celebration of the human experience through cinematic storytelling. Approaching its ninth year, the Hobnobben Film Festival supports Fort Wayne Cinema Center, a not-for-profit arts organization in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Each year, we invite filmmakers, film lovers, and the film-curious to experience heart-changing cinema over four glorious days in October.

The Hobnobben 2023 award finalists have been selected. Award-winners were announced, October 20 at Fort Wayne Cinema Center.

It’s time for the 8th annual Hobnobben Film Festival! We’re so happy to bring you this amazing showcase of films from all over the world. Over the last few years, we’ve appreciated everyone who has supported us.

The anticipation is over as the 2023 Hobnobben Film Festival proudly unveils its award finalists. Distinguished jury members convened on Sunday, September 30, to make their selections in a diverse array of categories that celebrate excellence in cinema.

Hobnobben Film Festival, now in its eighth year, has announced a series of special events including opening night festivities, an after-party at JK O’Donnell’s, and filmmaker workshops to take place during the festival running October 19-22.

The Hobnobben 2022 award winners have been chosen.

Following the films, there will be a post-film discussion from 6:45 - 7:45 PM. Select filmmakers and Fort Wayne Sister Cities will discuss the creation, artistry, and impact of all three Burmese films. Fort Wayne Sister Cities will also provide Burmese snacks and appetizers for all attendees.

Kick off the Hobnobben Film Festival at Cinema Center on October 13th from 6:00 - 9:15 pm for a night celebrating Indiana and local filmmaking. The evening will feature a reception with catering from Banh Mi Pho Shop, a film block of Indiana Shorts, and an Indianapolis-based feature film.

We’re delighted to bring you the seventh annual Hobnobben Film Festival, which is back home at Cinema Center. Planning this festival during a years-long pandemic has given us the chance to reflect on what Hobnobben contributes to our community: the community of filmmakers, film lovers, film-curious, sponsors, volunteers, and all those who appreciate the artistry of film at any level.

The Hobnobben 2022 award finalists have been selected. Jury members met on September 25th to choose winners in each of the categories.

The Hobnobben Film Festival will hold a launch party for its 2022 film line-up on Friday, July 29 at Cinema Center, 437 E. Berry Street.
